Since 2001, Ive worked on an occasional series of urban landscapes. The drawings focus on change. Buildings that have changed function from banks to church to resale shops are one theme. Another is structures that have been mangled by time. Architectural features that are lopped off, or buildings that suffer incongruous additions, are the focus of a number of the drawings. Finally, I examine sites where things should be but they are missing. The missing house in a row, the fragment of a doorway, I examine the void.
